Guarantee for e-commerce

The Business Development Department yesterday said it would issue a guarantee mark for e-commerce websites to protect consumers from cheating.
Its Electronic Commerce Division also will shut down any website found to be fraudulent after receiving 105 complaints related to inappropriate websites, goods not delivered after payment or poor service. Division director Wutthikrai Leeveeraphan said 4,137 websites had registered with the department, accounting for trade worth Bt77.48 billion. - The Nation.
Slow car salesMost auto companies still suffered from sluggish domestic demand last month, with meagre growth of 3.44 per cent month on month against an annualised drop of 14.31 per cent. A total of 51,364 vehicles were sold last month. Toyota remained the leader, with sales of 23,112 units for a 45-per-cent market share, said Tri Petch Isuzu Sales. Isuzu had 19.44 per cent and Honda 12.86 per cent. In the 1-tonne-pickup segment, 29,148 units were sold last month, down 5.36 per cent from April. - The Nation.
