Pure Place malls to cut travel costs

The launch of the first Pure Place community mall at Rangsit Klong II last week is to be followed up with four or five more branches within the next five years.

Pure Place, managed by Pure Sammakorn Development, aims to be a one-stop shopping centre to save suburban consumers the costs of commuting to the inner city.

"About 80 per cent of the total retail space of 4,000 square metres has already been booked, for example by Village Farm Stake, Tallis beauty shop, Better Cup Coffee, Frosty Fruit and Kitty Shop," said Suchart Hensawang, deputy managing director of Pure Sammakorn Development.

Pure Place stands out from other community malls due to modern design and green areas, and an electricity-generating wind turbine will also be installed soon, he said.

Suchart said the mall drew an average of 1,000 to 1,500 cars a day after the opening of its first outlets, a 24-hour Jusco supermarket and a Pure petrol station.

"After the full opening, this has risen 2,000 to 2,500 cars a day," he said.

Suchart said the company expected to open the next Pure Place community mall on Ramkhamhaeng Road by the end of the year.

Pure Sammakorn Development, with registered capital of Bt50 million, is a joint venture between Rayong Purifier and Sammakorn, holding stakes of 51 per cent and 49 per cent, respectively.
