Junta's term sealed

With a last minute adjustment in the wording, the revised constitution draft now has a clause specifying the expiry of the junta's term upon the appointment of the next government, charter writer Somkid Lertpaitoon said yesterday.
"The wording changes were deemed necessary in order to prevent a self-serving interpretation that the junta could remain in operation forever," he said. The junta and the interim government would "expire" after the swearing-in of the elected government, he said.
