More evidence needed for land purchase deal of Thaksin's wife

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) asked the Assets Examination Committee Thursday for more evidence on the Ratchadapisek land purchase to make the case against ousted premier and his wife more solid.

The Criminal Court sentenced on Thursday a taxi driver who seriously injured an IBM employee during a holdup in October to 25 years in jail and a Bt50 fine.

Thai police will soon issue an arrest warrant for a foreigner in his 40s who was suspected of sending a blackmail message to Tesco supermarket store in the UKto demand money or else he would poisoned food in the store.
