Party act still effective

Announcement Number 15 of the Council for Democratic Reform (CDR) - now the Council for National Security (CNS) - states that the 1998 Political Party Act is still in effect.
It also prohibits party meetings and political activities while suspending the process of forming or registering a new political party. The CDR's Announcement Number 27 later stated that the nullification of the constitution has no effect on the 1998 Political Party Act and the Act is effective until there is any law amendment or cancellation. Moreover, the second item of Announcement Number 27 says the ban on party meetings and political activities and the suspension of the process of forming or registering a new political party are still effective until there is a Cabinet resolution stating otherwise. However, there is no condition indicated in the third and the fourth items of Announcement Number 27 on when they will be ended. The two items add penalties for executives of a dissolved political party by revoking their voting rights for five years, and state that the voting rights revocation before the military coup will continue.
