Massive coverage for historic verdicts

All media outlets will be reporting live the verdicts on the fate of the two main political parties from the Constitutional Tribunal today.

Adisak Limparungpatanakij, president of Nation Broadcasting Co Ltd, confirmed yesterday

that all media in his network were fully prepared to report the decision.

The verdict will be carried on websites including www.bangkokbiznews.com of the Krungthep Turakij daily, www.komchadluek.com of the Kom Chad Luek newspaper and www.nationmultimedia.com of The Nation, along with information and background to this historic decision.

Nation Channel will also have special coverage broadcast on TTV (Channel 1) anchored by Kanok Ratwongsakul, satellite television NBT (Channel 8), Military Energy Department radio (FM 90.5), and community radio FM 95.75.

People can read and watch the outcome on Nation Channel (www.nationchannel.com), and citizen reporter blogs on www.oknation.net and Nation Mobile news service for "hot news" members.

Channel 3 plans to interview the main party executives and academics, with Sorrayuth Suthas-sanachinda and Siriboon Nutta-parn, from 1pm to 3pm on www.thaitv3.com.

Channel 5 will air the "Historic Case" programme that will include English subtitles on TGN channel, with reporter Manach Tangsuk, from 1pm to 3pm and will publish the results on www.tv5.co.th

 The "Changing Point in Thailand" programme will air on Modern Nine (Channel 9) from 1pm to 5pm and will be broadcast on www.mcot.net with video and reports.

Channel 11 will be reporting news all day from around Bangkok, which can also be heard on the Public Relations Department's radio stations FM 92.5 and FM 105.

TITV today will also have special coverage from 11am to 5pm, hosted by Kitti Singhapad and Tuangporn Assawawilai.
