LATE NEWS
Tourism scheme

Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Kittiphong Naranong last week granted scholarships to three young government officials working in the tourism sector in central Nghe An province, Vietnam News Agency reported from Hanoi.

Scholarship recipients will be offered a chance to attend a one-year training course on Thai language at Nakhon Phanom University.

Kittiphong also said he planned to grant scholarships to 10 outstanding pupils at Nguyen Trai school in northern Hai Duong province.

Beneficiaries will receive scholarships, worth 500,000 dong (Bt1,000) each, during three consecutive school years.
