Mass-transit deal The State Railway of Thailand yesterday inked a deal with Aeronautical Radio of Thailand over the Lat Krabang-Laem Chabang mass-transit project. Chaisawad Kitipornpaiboon, permanent secretary for the Transport Ministry, said the deal aimed to increase the frequency of shipments. The agreement is to conduct a survey, to design and to develop logistics management by rail in a bid to increase frequency of routing and transporting goods and products from any part of the country to Laem Chabang Port. Chaisawad said Aeronautical Radio of Thailand would be the key agency in studying timetable management to have a balance between supply and demand for track usage.
