LATE NEWS
Trade increases

Two-way trade between Cambodia and Thailand surged to US$1.28 billion (Bt44.16 billion) in 2006, an increase of 34.4 per cent over the previous year, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

The news agency quoted Cambodian Minister of Commerce Cham Prasidh as saying a Thai products fair held in Phnom Penh from May 19-22, which increased trade between the two countries, came on the heels of a cross-border trade agreement that was approved in February 2006.

Exec workshops

Hay Group Thailand and the Listed Companies Association (LCA) will jointly launch four workshops to develop executive leadership and boost companies' competitive edge in a time of political uncertainty and softening consumer demand.

The four workshops are in response to the LCA's Thailand Economic Outlook Survey 2007 in February.
