SET takes 12 listed firms on a road show to Singapore, London and New York

The Stock Exchange of Thailand and 12 listed companies with market capitalisation of Bt1.24 trillion will visit Singapore, London and New York as part of the Thailand Corporate Roadshow 2007, which starts on Sunday.
The road show - hosted by Credit Suisse Securities (Thailand) - runs until the following Sunday, SET president Patareeya Benjapholchai said in statement yesterday. The Credit Suisse road show comes hot on the heels of this week's road show, also in Singapore, organised by CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets with the SET and five listed companies in attendance. The dozen firms account for 22.35 per cent of the bourse's capitalisation of Bt5.54 trillion. They are Aromatics (Thailand), Bangkok Bank, Charoen Pokphand Foods, CP Seven Eleven, Minor International, Precious Shipping, PTT, Sansiri, Thai Airways International, Tisco Bank, Ticon Industrial Connection and Thai Union Frozen Products. Investors will meet with executives of the 12 companies in one-on-one and small group meetings. "The SET will brief them on Thailand's economic and investment situation as well as its stock market development plan to make them understand the SET's direction and goals," Patareeya said. "We would like to let them know that we have strong fundamentals and systems to make integrated capital market transactions and we have a full array of products. "Besides, our new exchange-traded funds and SET 50 Index Option products will be available this year."
