Danai down

Danai Udomchoke's final preparations for Roland Garros were cut short by old rival Lee Hyung-taik of South Korea after he was handed a disastrous 3-6 0-6 defeat in the US$416,000 Hypo Group Tennis International in Poertschach, Austria yesterday.

Danai who upset the South Korean No 1 for his first Asian Games gold medal in Doha last December started well and breaking early to gain the upper-hand at 2-1, but then his game fell apart. He now faces a daunting task ahead of this year' s second Grand Slam tournament which kicks off on Monday.
