The Central Administrative Court rejects Pol Gen Kowit's complaint against PM

The Central Administrative Court Monday refused to to take up a complaint filed by former national police chief Kowit Wattana, who claimed that Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont's order to remove him from the post was unlawful.

Pol Gen Kowit was moved to an inactive post at the Prime Minister's Office in February, reportedly because of a lack of progress in investigations into the New Year's Eve bombings in Bangkok.

The Court said that Kowit failed to appeal the order to the Police Committee before filing the complaint to the Court.

The Administrative Court last week rejected Kowit's complaint on the same ground.
