Ratthapark comes 12th

[MOTORCYCLING] Thai Honda PTT SAG rider Ratthapark Wilairot came 12th in the 250cc event of the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday, claiming four vital points and 11 points on aggregate.
The Thai teenager, who started 17th on the grid at the Shanghai International Circuit, said he had a poor start because of a soft tyre. "It was very difficult to control my motorbike. I chose the wrong tyre. It was too soft. "I thought I'd finish among the top ten. The 12th place was a disappointment," said Ratthapark, 19. "If I had had a good start as in the previous three races, I would have had a much better result. But my team was happy, considering the fact that I had never raced before in Shanghai." World champion Jorge Lorenzo from Spain was unassailable as he took his third chequered flag of the year, while compatriot Alvaro Bautista, and Italian Andrea Dovizioso, finished second and third respectively. Ratthapark will next take part in the Le Mans International Circuit in France on May 18.
