Nation Group launches Thai-Japanese print venture

Kyodo Printing, one of the largest Japanese printing houses, and the Nation Group have jointly launched Kyodo Nation Printing Services (KNP), a new venture to help promote Thailand as an Asian printing hub.
The grand opening was held yesterday at the Dusit Thani Hotel, presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister Kosit Panpiemras and Japanese Ambassador to Thailand Hideaki Kobayashi.Kobayashi said the successful collaboration between the Thai and Japanese private sectors was a result of the long-lasting cordial relations between the two nations. Kyodo chairman Masahiro Yamaguchi confirmed his confidence in the economic leadership of Thailand as a key presence in Asean. He said KNP would benefit from Thailand's diligent and skilful labour pool. Nation Group chairman Thanachai Theerapatvong said, "Thailand will benefit immensely from the partnership with Japan. Our partner [Kyodo] will bring state-of-the-art technology as well as know-how to improve printing quality and efficiency. In addition, the collaboration allows immediate access to export markets like Europe, America and Australia." KNP will provide high-quality printing services, such as hardback books, magazines, brochures and pocketbooks, for domestic and export markets. - The Nation
