Thailand faces India while South Korea takes on China in the opening matches of the 6th Asian Youth Girls Volleyball Championship at Chakungrao I Gymnasium today.

The tournament, which ends on May 14, has drawn teams from eight nations, including Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Australia, India and the host side. Top three of the meet will automatically qualify for this year's World Girls Under-18 Volleyball Championship in Mexico. The eight-day tournament is competed in a single round-robin format
