Depression heads north

The Meteorological Department warned yesterday that heavy rain and associated flash-floods would continue in several North and Central provinces.

A department statement said as of 4am yesterday a depression about 390 kilometres west of Tak was heading north at 10 kilometres an hour and was expected to weaken soon.

Storms will bring heavy rain to Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Tak, Lampang, Lamphun, Phrae, Nan, Phayao, Phitsanulok, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat and Kanchanaburi.
