Sudket and Songpon lose

[BADMINTON] Thailand's Sudket Prapakamol and Songpon Anukritayawan suffered an early exit in the men's doubles at the US$200,000 Singapore Open Super Series, going down to their South Korean rivals in the qualifying round yesterday.

The Thai men's duo lost 19-21 21-16 21-16 to Hwang Ji-man and Han Sang-hoon in their second qualifying match.

Earlier, Sudket and Songpon took only 24 minutes to see off German Johannes Schoettler and Tim Dettmann 21-15 21-15 in the their first match.

However, both Sudket and Songpon still have a chance in the mixed doubles today.

Sudket and partner Saralee Thungthongkam face Russian Nina Vislova and Alexandr Nikolaenko, while Songpon, pairing up with Kunchala Voravichitchaikul, takes on Kennevic and Kennie Asuncion in the first round.
