Toto sanitaryware sales up 67 per cent

Siam Sanitary Ware Industry, a manufacturer of sanitaryware products under the Cotto and Toto brands, expects sale of its premium Toto brand to reach Bt585 million, up 67 per cent this fiscal year (April 2007 to March 2008), said Pittaya Paiboon, manager of the company's Domestic Sales Department.
"We expect strong growth in sales of our premium product this year, because the high-end market did not suffer a negative impact from the economy's slight growth this year," he said. The company's total sales reached Bt350 million in the previous fiscal year. Half of all sales come from sanitaryware and the rest from faucets. The company launched three new collections - Neorest, Cocktail and Ryohan - amounting to 100 new products this year. The company also set up a Bt50-million marketing budget for this year. Of that, Bt10 million will be spent introducing its products at the Architect 2007 fair to be held at Muang Thong Thani from May 1-6. The rest of the marketing budget will go for renovating displays at its 20 sales agents.
