Bronze for Thai

Thailand's Suthiporn Watthanakasikam won two bronze medals in the men's 94kg division in the 38th Asian Weightlifting Championships in Taian, China, yesterday.

After failing in the snatch, Suthiporn recovered to grab bronze in the clean and jerk, lifting 193kg. Having tied at 345kg in the Olympic total with an Iranian, the Thai lifter, who weighed 92.95kg, took the bronze thanks to his lesser weight.
