Built-in furniture at this Plus Property project creates ready-to-live-in condos

Plus Property had a firm principle in mind when designing and finishing its My Condo

condominium project at Sathorn-Taksin: if you want to live in My Condo, all you need to bring is your luggage.

The first impression when visiting example rooms of both 24-square-metre studio units and 34-square-metre one-bedroom units is the built-in furniture, specially designed to suit a city lifestyle.

"Before launching the My Condo project, we tried to develop a concept for the new condominium that mixed marketing ideas, coming from the demands of home-buyers, with architectural and interior design features that suit a city lifestyle," says Plus Property senior marketing director Dusadee Tancharoen.

The city condominium lifestyle requires more functionality in a unit, including private areas, a kitchen, a relaxing area and a work area.

"Our problem was how to create more functions in the small space of studio units and offer prices lower than Bt1 million per unit. We surveyed home-buyers' behaviour to find out what they want to do in their condominium units and settled on a concept that serves customers' demands," she says.

Finalising the concept took three to four months' work by a team of marketers, interior designers and architects, but Plus Property is finally able to offer My Condo studio units with a floor space of 24 square metres for Bt900,000.

The concept called for the creation of new built-in furniture. Designed by Index Furniture, the built-ins for the My Condo studio and one-bedroom units feature more shelves and additional drawers beneath the bed, sofa, cupboard and wardrobe.

The furniture is also finished in white and polished wood, making up the main colour of the studio and one-bedroom units. Both colours are neutral and able to match any other feature colours that may be added to the units by owners.

For example, if an owner is fond of plenty of colour, the units are perfect for colours like pink and orange that mix easily with a background of white and polished wood. For those who prefer a more peaceful and warm atmosphere, ivory, brown, black and natural decorative items will match just as easily.

At the example units on display in Sukhumvit Soi 103, Plus' interior designers have selected pink and red to decorate a studio unit. The colours are contributed by carpets, pillows, picture frames, lighting and bedroom accessories. The decor is designed to suit a working woman.

However, the example one-bedroom unit has black and brown accessories to match with the white and polished wood background, creating a warm, peaceful setting.

"We designed the example rooms to suit different lifestyles, so that our customers may see what can be done with out condominium units and be inspired to decorate their own rooms to match their lifestyles," Dusadee says, adding that My Condo offers completed rooms to serve the fundamental requirements of buyers, but owners then have to decorate their units with accessories to match their lifestyles.
