Seacon executive sues Thanchart

The Southern Bangkok Criminal Court has accepted lawsuits filed by Krirkchai Sosothikul, a senior executive of Seacon Co Ltd, against four executives of Thanachart Capital. Krirkchai accused the Thanachart Capital executives of dereliction of duty, which caused him losses due to violation of the Securities and Exchange Act regarding the maintenance of margin-account regulation.
On April 12, Krirkchai filed another case against Thanachart Capital at the same court, claiming compensation of Bt500 million. - The Nation.

Japanese plan In a bid to increase exports to Japan under the Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement (Jtepa), the Commerce Ministry is cooperating with the private sector to organise a seminar next month on using tariff privileges for four key products. They are jewellery, garments, shoes, and petrochemicals, the tariffs for which will be cut to zero in the first year of Jtepa implementation. - The Nation.
