Workshops plan to be changed

The government has decided to "adjust" plans for community workshops in an effort to end criticism that they were a ploy to undermine political support for the ousted administration.

"The news media misunderstood the concept of the campaign," said Ua-chit Virojtrirat, an adviser to the deputy minister of Social Development and Humanity Security. She dismissed reports the workshops were part of an attempt to stop upcountry residents from travelling to Bangkok to protest against the Council for National Security and government.
