TRT to celebrate Songkran in North, Northeast

Thai Rak Thai caretaker leader Chaturon Chaisang yesterday said he and his party's working committee planned to visit many provinces in the North and Northeast to celebrate Songkran.



Death toll reaches 98 Friday

Road accidents have claimed 98 lives in the first two days of the Songkran period, Interior Minister Aree Wongsearaya said Friday.

London - The British foreign ministry said on Thursday that the blog of a British diplomat in Bangkok had been withdrawn after accusations that he had been spotted in the city's red light district.

Songkran first day: 41 dead, 514 injured
The first day of the Songkran holiday got off to a dreadful start with 41 people killed and more than 500 injured in road accidents around the country, Transport Minister Admiral Theera Haocharoen said yesterday. Many were caused by drunk drivers.
