Surayud govt's rating drops

The Surayud government's job approval rating after six months in office has dropped from its three-month measure.
According to data from a Bangkok Poll conducted by the Bangkok University research institute, the Surayud Chulanont government's performance has dropped.In addition, it found 16.7 per cent of voters believed the country was worse off now than after three months of this administration. Almost 30 per cent saw no change and 32.6 per cent of respondents had no opinion. The government's job approval rating after six months is 4.53 from a maximum of 10, down from 5.27 three months ago. A group of 36.4 per cent said the government performed below its expectations while 5.7 per cent said it performed better. Almost 30 per cent labelled gov¬ernment performance equal to its expectations while a similar number held none at all. The top three Cabinet perform¬ers are Culture Minister Khunying Khaisri Sriaroon who scores a rating of 5.51 out of a possible 10, prime minister Surayud 5.37 and Tourism Minister Suvit Yodmani 5.08. The worst Cabinet performers are Prime Minister's Office Minister Prasith Kowilaikul with a 4.50 rating, fellow PM's Office Minister Thirapat Serirangsanat at 4.56 and Labour Minister Apai Chandanachulaka with 4.58.
