Hi-Tech roast Chiang Mai

[BASKETBALL] Hi-Tech scored a comfortable 80-48 victory over Chiang Mai to lead Group A in the women's division of the 47th King's Cup tournament at Siam University gymnasium yesterday.

Heading into the game with a record of one win and one loss from their first two games, Hi-Tech started strongly to take a 24-16 lead in the first quarter.

Hi-Tech attacked in waves and extended their gap to 18 points to end the half-time at 42-24.

The Northerners made some quick adjustments to their game plan by making Mucharin Chaichompoo play as a shooting guard, which resulted in a slight improvement to their performance though Hi-Tech continued to dominate the proceedings.

Despite facing a strong challenge from the Northerners in the final quarter, Hi-Tech managed to close out the game to earn two points from their win.

In a Group B match, Daimon maintained their rollicking form by disposing of minnows Rajabhat Chiang Mai University 92-24. It was the second successive victory for Daimon.

Meanwhile, Hi-Tech defeated Suphan Buri 82-64 in a Group A match of the men's division.

Tiew Pai Ngarm kept their winning streak with a 80-57 win over Royal Thai Army team in a Group B match.
