Bangkok Bank back to winning ways

Bangkok Bank found their winning touch, beating Royal Thai Air Force 77-65 in the men's preliminary rounds of the King's Cup Basketball Championships at Siam University Gymnasium yesterday.
In their opening matches in Group A, the bank-men, once the country's top team, lost to defending champions Hi-Tech 84-67, while the Air Force scored a 69-66 victory over Sunspark. Later, Bangkok Bank forced the Air Force on to the defensive after grabbing a 43-29 advantage at half-time. In the next session, Air Force's Kitimon Wanna had a series of lay-ups to edge closer to the bank-men. It was anybody's game at 51-50. But Bangkok Bank pinned down their rivals and held the lead till the end. Atthaporn was the top scorer for Bangkok Bank with 20 points. In the women's matches, Bangkok Bank B routed Chiang Mai 105-21 in a Group B match, with Nudda Thongtuam scoring 22 points. In Group A, Sunisa Lakharn, who had 13 points, teamed up with Wanida Bua-chan to help Hi-Tech down RBAC 76-41.
