First PM&S event for itself

Production Management and Services (PM&S) will organise its own event for the first time: Proud Asia 2007.

After providing management services during its 10 years in operation, PM&S hopes its first foray into event organising will generate Bt1.2 billion.

Managing director Natprapa Yokputtaraksa yesterday said Proud Asia would be a four-day trade exhibition with 300 booths on 10,000 square metres. It will be held from September 27-30 at Impact Muang Thong Thani and feature products and services in the medical, spa and wellness and beauty industries.

Natprapa said Thailand was very strong in medical tourism, due to modern technology, a service-minded culture and abundant travel destinations. The exhibition will enhance the Kingdom's reputation.

She expects 15,000 buyers to attend. Impact Muang Thong Thani is co-investing with PM&S to cover the Bt20 million needed to stage the exhibition.

PM&S will invite local and international companies to set up booths, including from South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States.
