'King Naresuan' for Rome film festival

Italian Senator Goffredo Bettini is keen to screen the "King Naresuan" movies at the second Rome Film Festival.
"The films reflect the history and culture of Thailand," Bettini said, while on a private visit here. He noted that the director of the Thai blockbusters, MC Chatrichalerm Yukol, had worked with many Hollywood directors previously. This year's international film festival in Rome will run from October 18-27. Bettini, one of the event's co-organisers, expects the Thai films to attract huge interest from Italian audiences. Bettini was speaking after he met with Deputy Foreign Minister Sawanit Kongsiri. "The Legend of King Naresuan" is a trilogy, with the first part depicting the life of the king when he was still young.
