Aussies in town to drop some tips

Thai businesses wanting to enhance staff competency and productivity will have an opportunity to learn from leading Australian corporate trainers and business consultants at a series of free professional-development seminars at the Sukhothai Hotel from March 28-30.

The Australian Corporate Training and Business Consultancy Showcase (ACTS 2007) is a first-of-its-kind event organised by the Australian Trade Commission.

It offers local companies and human-resources, corporate-training or business-consultancy professionals the chance to meet 20 of Australia's top corporate trainers and business consultants all under one roof.

Participants will learn about the latest trends in corporate training and business consultancy in Australia and how these apply to their organisations. They will have an opportunity to network, develop international exposure and have one-on-one sessions with the consultants and trainers.

According to the Australian Trade Commission's Bangkok-based senior trade commissioner Sean Riley, rising demand for skilled workers and intense international competition have increased the need for skill-training and human-resource development in Thailand.
