Media firm Keen to expand workforce

Local branding and creative-design agency Keen Media will bolster its Bangkok workforce and add another representative office in South Asia or the Middle East in the next nine months.
Orders are increasing from around the world, particularly from South Asia, North Africa and the Middle East, managing director David Keen said yesterday. The Bangkok office needs to recruit 70 employees on top of the 80 already onboard, to handle the heavier workload. The London representative office will continue to service clients in Europe, while all creative work there will be transferred to the office here. A new representative office is being considered for Dubai or Cairo in the Middle East, or alternatively for Sri Lanka in South Asia, Keen said while declining to reveal investment figures. Keen Media was established in 1997 and now offers seven services: corporate identity, creative direction, artwork, editing and writing, photography, advertising and multimedia. For corporate identity, it translates ideas into logos and creates branding and awareness. Advertising involves formulating strategies for campaigns, while multimedia activities include developing interactive media like websites and CD-ROMs. Its main clients are from the hospitality industry in nine countries, including Anantara Resorts and Spas Asia and Bumrungrad Hospital in Thailand, Accor Asia and the Kuwaiti telecom operator. International billings contribute about 60 per cent of the agency's revenues, Keen said without offering exact figures for last year. Nitida Asawanipont, The Nation
