FSG interested in two rail lines

FSG Flagship Maglev Thailand has shown an interest in bidding for parts of the Blue and Purple electric-train projects and is prepared to serve the lines with a magnetic system.
Investment for the two projects has been set at Bt81.74 billion. FSG is a joint venture between Chinese and Japanese companies. It proposes to invest in the two lines in return for an operating contract of 30-40 years.
SET road show Deputy Finance Minister Sommai Phasee has resolved to allow the Stock Exchange of Thailand to conduct a road show in Japan. He said details of the road show would be finalised next week, adding that it would be a good opportunity to explain the government reshuffle to Japanese investors and how little impact it would have on economic policy. Investment in the five electric-train routes will be one of the topics he will discuss with Japan's finance minister.
Disbursement The Comptroller-General's Department yesterday announced that expected government expenses this month were forecast at up to Bt200 billion, up from Bt180 billion last month. The higher-than-expected amount results from a huge portion of budget money that was not disbursed until this past January, the fourth month of the current fiscal year. And state agencies have been ordered by the government to accelerate their disbursement. Earlier, the Finance Ministry estimated that if the government could disburse its budget by at least Bt130 billion per month from now on, the average disbursement for fiscal 2007 could be as high as 93 per cent.
Luxury homes AEH yesterday unveiled the most expensive resort homes on Tawanron Beach in Pattaya, with some units priced at up to Bt128 million. Chairman Aran Iamsuree led a press tour yesterday to the 53-rai plot where 68 exclusive seafront resort homes worth a total of Bt1.4 billion will be built. The Baan Talay Pattaya project offers homes and vacant land plots for sale. Units are priced from Bt15 million to Bt128 million.
California Wow California Wow Experience, operator of California Fitness centres, will spend Bt720 million to Bt840 million this year to open six more outlets. The six new branches will be located in Central Rama II, Major Ekamai, Soi Asoke, Siam Future and Lat Phrao Road in Bangkok; and in Pattaya.
