Special rates for medical pros
Bangkok Bank is looking to expand its mortgage-loan business to cover more medical professionals, who will be offered two tiers of discount with a combined value of one percentage point.
Medical professionals who apply for a Bualuang Home Loan until the end of the year will receive a special interest rate of minimum lending rate (MLR) minus 75 basis points during the floating-rate period of the loan. Those who also take out the bank's home loan insurance-protection plan - Home 1st - will receive a further rate discount of 25 basis points for the first year. Bangkok Bank's MLR is 7.5 per cent. Bangkok Bank senior executive vice president Deja Tulananda said yesterday that the bank was offering the discounts to people whose careers are dedicated to serving society. "We are offering special options and benefits that make our products and services even more relevant to our customers. At Bangkok Bank, we consider it important to provide options that fit with our customers' needs," he said. Medical professionals are offered four options, which consist of both fixed and floating rates.
