Boy dies of heart failure in food stall

A 16-year-old Bangkok student, who was found dead at a roadside food stall early yesterday morning, died of heart failure, doctors said.

Phuwadol Srisuparp was found dead early yesterday morning in a noodle stall inside a squatter community on Soi Suan Ngern off Rama VI Road in Phya Thai district.

The Santiratwithtayalai School student exhibited no external injuries.

Doctors said Phuwadol died of heart failure and suffocation.

The boy's father, Sarit, said his son often stayed overnight with friends but was never involved in any trouble. He spent Saturday night with friends.

"A motorcycle taxi rider told me at about 4am that my son was dead. I find it suspicious; he has never had any medical problems," he said.
