'Dek Hor' triumphs

The horror film "Dek Hor" ("Dorm") picked up six awards at the prestigious annual Bangkok Critics Assembly on Thursday night, including Best Picture.

Directed by Songyos Sukmakanan, "Dek Hor" also won him Best Director Award. It won five other awards, including Best screenplay, Best supporting actress (Jintara Sukkapat) and Best cinematography.

The film has also just won the Crystal Bear Award at the Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation category.

"When I was young I used to look up to the Tukkatatong Awards, but later when I studied film, I changed my mind and I aimed at getting the Critics award," said Chonlada Diewsuwan, the award-winning scriptwriter of "Dek Hor".

Noi Sukosol Clapp won Best Actor award for his role in "13 Game Sayong" ("13 Beloved").
