Estrada mystery

Justices of the Sandiganbayan anti-graft court's special division yesterday wondered why Philippines senator Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada had sought a 90-day "blanket authority" to travel.
"What is the reason for this blanket authority to travel?"
Associate Justice Francisco Villaruz asked. "This request is something and this has never been done before." The special division is trying the plunder case in which the senator is co-accused with his father, former president Joseph Estrada. The court gave the senator's counsel seven days to submit Estrada's itinerary and explain the need for a blanket authority. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network.
