Telecommunications :Dopod International to launch products on Windows Mobile 6

Dopod International Corp plans to launch its first device running on Windows Mobile 6 in April.
All new products launched after that will also be equipped to run on the new mobile software platform. This announcement is in line with Microsoft's recent launch of Windows Mobile 6, which features new messaging tools, tighter security and improved productivity. "Dopod International's devices offer the ultimate in connectivity by allowing consumers to experience instant access to information any time, anywhere," said CEO Jack Tong. The Taiwanese company, founded in 2002, provides products that integrate mobile communication with information-system technologies. "With our range of Windows Mobile PDA phones and smart-phones, consumers will be spoilt for choice in deciding which one of our devices best suits their needs and lifestyle," said Tong. "We are excited to work with Microsoft to offer Windows Mobile 6 on our upcoming products. This will further enrich the mobile experience of consumers with our easy-to-use, innovative and powerful devices, which will allow more consumers to enjoy mobility while having the power of Windows Mobile to help them stay connected to people and information wherever they go."
Transportation :Thailand Post to provide bus tickets Thailand Post has provided a provincial bus ticket booking service to ensure that people can go back to their hometowns during the Songkran Festival in April. Parisa Pananond, corporate and marketing communication manager, said yesterday that people can purchase tickets 60 days in advance at 50 post offices in Bangkok and nearby provinces. Thaiticketmaster will connect its booking system with Thailand Post to ensure booking. The service will help people to book tickets to 80 main destinations nationwide.
Export Promotion Department :Seminar on trade tactics in South Asia The Export Promotion Department will arrange a seminar entitled "Trade Tactics in the South Asia Market" to allow Thai businessmen to explore more business opportunities in eight countries in the region. The seminar will be held at the Phoenix meeting room of Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani on March 8 from 9.30am to 4.45pm.
