"We think these countries have potential, as they are not yet exposed to the concept of wedding planners, so there are a lot of opportunities to tap," she said.

Concept is currently in negotiations with several parties about possible ventures.

"Additionally, Concept has been endorsed as the official wedding and event planner for Tourism Malaysia, so we are also involved in marketing Malaysia as a haven for weddings this year," said Sunita.

She said Malaysia had a lot to offer for foreign couples wanting to tie the knot. "We have nice beaches and beautiful scenery for individuals who appreciate these kind of things," she said.

Concept is said to be the first event manager in Malaysia to be housed in the five-star Hotel Istana and perform dual functions: wedding and events planner; and marketer of the hotel's function rooms, ballrooms and banquet facilities.

"The Hotel Istana has a beautiful ballroom, which is ideal for wedding receptions," Sunita said.
