Official book on 'Thaksin-era graft' The Foreign Ministry plans to shame the Thaksin Shinawatra administration by publishing a book giving an account of its alleged corruption. The move comes as international governments continue to demand explanations about the September coup. Meanwhile, Prime Minister's Office Minister Thirapat Serirangsan defended a decision to allow media mogul and anti-Thaksin crusader Sondhi Limthongkul to broadcast his news-talk programme called "Yarm Fao Phaen Din" (Security guard of the land) on state-run Channel 9. He understood the Thai Rak Thai Party would complain. Others have also said is a divisive figure and his broadcasts are not conducive to the goals of social harmony and national reconciliation. Some allege the broadcast is a reward for Sondhi's agitation before the coup. It is seen as a "desperate" move by the junta to reduce the popularity Thaksin still enjoys in rural areas and among the poor. "I insist that it is correct to allow Sondhi to appear on air," Thirapat said. "Reconciliation means people should have access to the right information, so they can make decisions."
