Dutch to play in the Kingdom

[SOCCER] Thai fans will have the rare opportunity of getting the autographs of world-class players such as Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie and Chelsea winger Arjen Robben when the Netherlands visit Bangkok in June.

Worawi Makudi, the secretary-general of the Football Association of Thailand, said the star-studded Oranje led by player-turned-coach Marco Van Basten will play an exhibition match against Thailand on June 6.

According to Worawi, the Netherlands promise to field their senior national team consisting of well-known players against the hosts who will use the fixture as one of the tune-up matches for the Asian Cup in July. After the friendly with Holland, Worawi said the national team would leave for Germany for a training camp from June 8 to 24.
