Govt launches commemorative events for HM the King's 80th birthday

The government inaugurated Friday state-commissioned celebratory events to commemorate His Majesty the King's 80th birthday this year, while announcing an official end to state functions marking the 60th anniversary of HM's accession to the throne.



Thailand wants Malaysia's offer to mediate talks with rebels

Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont said that the government agreed to accept Malaysia's offer to mediate negotiation with insurgents who flared up the deep south, reversing earlier denial statement made by the foreign minister.



Don Muang Airport will serve domestic flights only : PM

Remaining as an international airport, Don Muang airport will be for domestic flights only, Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont said Friday.
