IN BRIEF
IT city: Strong results, 5 new branches planned

IT City has announced revenues of Bt5.2 billion and a net profit of Bt175.39 million for last year, representing growth of 17.19 per cent and 16.66 per cent, respectively, over 2005.
Chairman Kamol Juntima yesterday said the consumer IT market was growing continuously and that IT City was increasingly well accepted by both home users and smaller businesses, which contributed to last year's strong growth. The company sees further IT growth this year. In order to meet expected demand, IT City plans five new branches in the second half, adding to the existing 30 outlets. The new branches will cost Bt8 million each, excluding inventory. Deodorants: Katreeya for Rexona 'trysumer' drive The local unit of Unilever, maker of Rexona anti-perspirant deodorant, has launched an innovative "trysumer" marketing programme featuring Katreeya English as presenter. The campaign will encourage female first-jobbers and students to try Rexona Dry Stick to experience a new format of deodorant for women under the theme of "supreme dryness and confidence". Last year, Thailand's Bt2.4-billion deodorant market achieved record 10-per-cent growth. As an alternative choice for an anti-perspirant deodorant, Rexona Dry Stick has received tremendous acceptance from women in this growing market, says Piyanut Panpiemras, market development director for personal wash, deodorants and oral care at Unilever Thai Trading.
