Marine life survey

An aerial survey will be carried this month on rare marine animals and seagrass reefs along the eastern coast - from Chon Buri's Sattahip to Trat - between February 19-28.

It will be undertaken by the Siribha Chudhabhorn Conservation and Rescue Flying Volunteer Centre.

The project's co-host, Marine and Coastal Conservation Department director-general Nisakorn Kositratna, said yesterday that two fixed-wing aircraft would film and photograph rare marine animals such as dugongs, and seagrass. Data on numbers and location would be recorded on global positioning systems.
