Polluters be warned
Companies and individuals responsible for groundwater contamination will have to pay for the clean-up when new legislation and associated regulations come into effect.
The Natural Resources and Environment Ministry will today seek Cabinet approval for the Groundwater Bill.If the bill wins Cabinet approval it will move on to the National Legislative Assembly. The bill demands polluters cover costs of cleaning up groundwater contamination.
