Deposed PM arrives in Bali

Thai former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra arrived at Indonesian island resort of Bali on Wednesday morning, an Indonesian national news agency reported.

Aboard his private airplane, Begin P Car Version 2.1, Thaksin arrived at Ngurah Rai international airport here at 6.45am with a number of his close assistants, Antara reported.

Through the VIP room at Ngurah Rai airport, the Thair former prime minister and his entourage headed to Le Meridien hotel at Tanah Lot tourist site in Tabanan district.

There was no information so far on the purpose and length of Thaksin`s visit and whom he would meet, according to Antara.

His visit to Bali this time is the second one after he arrived on November 14 last year for a holiday and stayed at a hotel in Nusa Dua, Tabanan district.
