Jetjan dies

The Thai football community are mourning the death on Monday of Pol Maj-Gen MR Jetjan Prawit, founder of the Rajpracha Football Club, who was behind the success of many former national players and coaches. He died of a heart attack, aged 72.

Jetjan suddenly developed breathing difficulty at his residence in Ban Klongprapa and was rushed to the nearby Vichaiyuth Hospital. However, he died on the way.

Jetjan founded the Rajprachanukroh Sport Club in 1967 before changing its name to Rajpracha Sport Club three years later. He was one of the greatest sportsmen, who helped not only well-known coaches such as Prawit Chaisam and Witthaya Laohakul but also former national players Vorawan Chitawanic, Suthin Chaikitti and many others.
