Celebrating the New Year
The Fujian restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai, is offering people an opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year in style from today until February 20. The celebratory menu includes yee sang as well as five set menus representing Prosperity (six courses at Bt800 per person), Fortune (eight courses at Bt8,000 per table of 10), Wealth (nine courses at Bt10,000 per table of 10), Longevity (nine courses at Bt12,000 per table of 10) and Health (nine courses at Bt14,000 per table of 10). The menu has been especially created by chef Jovi Chan. In addition, a fortune-teller will be on hand from February 16 to 18 to give you a glimpse of your future in the Year of the Pig. Regional offeringsThe Marriott's Riverside Terrace will be adding more dishes from the four regions of Thailand to its buffet, along with a selection of Thai white and red wine. If you reserve a table for six, a seventh person can tag along and eat for free. The Riverside Terrace is open daily from 6 to 10.30pm.
