AEC briefing on corruption probes

Assets Examination Committee chairman Nam Yimyaem and other panel members will today meet Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont and Council for National Security chairman General Sonthi Boonyaratglin and report on progress of corruption probes. They will seek a solution to uncooperative state agencies, too.

Talks on moving flights to Don Muang

Transport Minister Theera Haocharoen meets today with airport authorities to consider moving some flights - mostly domestic - back to Don Muang Airport.

The east runway at Suvarnabhumi Airport is expected to be closed for repairs after approximately 100 cracks were discovered.

Tomorrow's Cabinet meeting could appoint a panel of "independent" experts to determine the cause of the cracks.

Charter-drafting committee meeting

The core charter-drafting committee meets today. Prasong Soonsiri, chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee, and the 34 other writers will discuss committee functions.
