Council for National Security chairman and Army Commander-in-Chief General Sonthi Boonyaratglin will next month lead elaborate, nationwide merit-making for the Kingdom, according to Army secretary Maj-General Weeran Chanthasartkosol.
Weeran said Sonthi felt the country had not improved since the September 19 coup and wanted the country to join him in making merit.Alms will be presented to monks at 7.09am on February 24, he said. In Bangkok, merit-making will be at Sanam Luang and elsewhere at provincial halls. At 4.09pm monks will chant prayers to bless the country, which will be broadcast live. - The Nation.
