Melbourne - Kim Clijsters scraped through to beat triple Australian Open champion Martina Hingis 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 Wednesday and set up a semi-final showdown with top seed Maria Sharapova.
Fourth seed Clijsters survived a mid-match wobble to down Hingis, seeded six, and keep alive her dream of winning the season-opening Grand Slam in her final appearance at Melbourne Park before retiring at the end of the year. Agence France Presse
