UK experts help schools

British experts will help schools here develop their human resources, Office of Basic Education Commission secretary-general Khunying Kasama Varawarn na Ayutthaya said yesterday.

Kasama met recently with Britain's National Remodelling Team. In three years the team has reformed the way schools in the UK are managed and teach students.

The team visited underperforming schools in this country and said "leadership enhancement, teamwork and human resources" were important for development here.

It said school staff should understand why a change in management and work habits was necessary.

Kasama said human resources were key to the plan to transfer state schools to local administrative organisations.
